Returns the name of the current host.

Description 

For FileMaker Server hosts, this name is set in FileMaker Server Admin Console. See FileMaker Server Help.

For FileMaker Cloud hosts, this name is set in Claris Customer Console. See Claris Customer Console Help.

For FileMaker Pro hosts, this name is the current registered computer name that is displayed in Settings (Windows) or System Preferences (macOS).

Notes 

  • If the current calculation is stored and you specify its context, this function will be evaluated based on that context; otherwise, it will be evaluated based on the context of the current window.

Example 1 

Returns fms.example.com when the file is hosted by FileMaker Server and this is the server name set in Admin Console.
