Using local backup
You should back up your hosted databases on a regular basis to safeguard your data. FileMaker Server provides different backup options. When you use local backup, backup files are saved on your server.
If you have FileMaker Server Remote Backup, you can set it up to back up the databases in the secure folder to a remote drive. You can restore or download your remote backups. See Using remote backup.
Local and remote backup operate independently and can both be used at the same time.
