FileMaker HTTPS tunneling
In some network environments, using the standard secure port 443 may be preferred. Enabling this option allows FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Go to use port 443 instead of 5003 to communicate with FileMaker Server.
Note Enabling or disabling the HTTPS Tunneling option requires you to restart FileMaker Server.
To enable FileMaker HTTPS tunneling settings:
-
Open Admin Console, click the Configuration > FileMaker Clients tab.
-
Set HTTPS Tunneling to Enabled.
-
Enable the corresponding HTTPS Tunneling options in FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Go:
-
For FileMaker Pro, see "HTTPS Tunneling" in FileMaker Pro Help.
-
For FileMaker Go, see "HTTPS Tunneling" in FileMaker Go Help.
-
Notes
-
This option only works when your FileMaker Server is using a secure and valid SSL certificate. An SSL certificate issued for localhost will not work.
-
This option is only available in FileMaker Server on Ubuntu.
