About user types

Note  The following information is for team managers.

A team can have two user types:

  • managed users: those who are managed by the current team
  • external users: those who are managed by a different team

A user becomes a managed user when:

  • a team manager invites the user to join their team
  • the user transfers their account to the current team

The following table shows which tasks team managers can do for managed and external users.
