Creating your flow in Claris Connect

When you have all the prerequisites in place, you will use a template to create your flow, which streamlines the process. Here is an overview:

  1. Go to https://connect.claris.com/ and sign in with your Managed Apple Account.

  2. On the Templates page, click the icon for the template you want to use for creating your flow.

  3. Read the information needed to complete the flow setup and click Next.

  4. On the Connect page, use the links to connect your accounts.

    • For the OneRoster SIS template, you need to connect your OneRoster domain and your Apple School Manager account.

    • For other SIS templates, you need to connect your SIS account and your Apple School Manager account.

    • For the OneRoster CSV template, you need to connect a Claris Connect file account and your Apple School Manager account.

  5. When both accounts are connected, click Next.

  6. On the Configure page:

    • For SIS templates, select the day, hour, and timezone for the flow run.

    • For the OneRoster CSV template, continue to the next step.

  7. Click Next to go to the Finish page, then click Go to Project.

  8. To turn on the option for saving request and response data, click Start.

    You can view the request and response data for each step of a flow run on the History tab. See Viewing flow history in Claris Connect Help.

Congratulations! You have set up your flow.

  • SIS flows run automatically on the schedule you set.

  • CSV flows are triggered when you upload a ZIP file to your Claris Connect file account using an SFTP client.

Note  SIS flows, which use the Schedules utility to trigger flow runs, can be started manually by using the Run now button on the flows page. See Manually run a flow in Claris Connect Help.
