Step 3. Stop FileMaker Server

  1. On the Admin Console Connectors > Web Publishing tab, stop any Web Publishing Engine that is running.

    Wait until Web Publishing Engines on primary and secondary machines have stopped.

  2. On the Configuration > General Settings tab, click the Stop Database Server link.

    Wait until the Database Server has stopped.

  3. Stop the FileMaker Server service (Windows) or FileMaker Server processes (macOS and Linux). See FileMaker Server Help.
