Creating a recovery code

If you’ve forgotten your password or can no longer use your current Claris ID user name or email, you can regain access to your account by entering a recovery code when prompted.

Create a recovery code as soon as possible in case you need to use it later.

Important  The recovery code is displayed only when it is created, so save and store it in a secure place. If you lose or forget the code, you may not be able to access your account.

  1. Go to your Profile page.
  2. See Changing your profile.

  3. In the Security area, for Account Recovery, click Create recovery code.
  4. Enter your password, then click Create recovery code.
  5. An eight-character recovery code appears on your Profile page.

  6. Write down the recovery code and store it in a secure place to use later if needed.


  • Each recovery code can be used only once. After using a recovery code, create a new one.
