Configuration reference

ADT separates project configuration from Web Viewer app configuration. The project root contains adt.json. Each app has its own adt.config.json inside webviewer-apps/<name>/.

Project configuration

adt.json is the project manifest. It records the FileMaker files the project can reach and the Web Viewer apps associated with those files. ADT commands find it by walking up from the current directory, so you can run them from the project root or from inside an app.

App configuration

Each Web Viewer app keeps its type-generation settings in webviewer-apps/<name>/adt.config.json. The file names the FileMaker layouts used by that app and controls the schemas and clients written by adt typegen.

See adt.config.json for every field and the generated-file layout.

Installed files and paths

Project configuration is separate from the toolkit files installed on your computer. See Installed files and paths for the global toolkit, coding-agent integration, logs, and project-generated files.
