FileMaker Go 2025, Version 22.0.1 – July 2025
New features and enhancements
Manage FileMaker Go files in the Files app
-
FileMaker Go files on your device are now also visible in the Files app, allowing you to access them without starting FileMaker Go first. This provides an alternative way to share and access files on your device, similar to how other iOS and iPadOS apps make their files available in the Files app.
External keyboard support for navigating more complex layout objects
-
Arrow keys: To navigate between panels in tab and slide controls and between segments in button bars
-
Enter or Space key: To switch to the selected panel in tab and slide controls and the selected segment in button bars, to tap a button, or to tap a popover button
Addressed issues
Script steps and functions
-
On devices with the language set to Japanese, the Get(ApplicationLanguage) function incorrectly returned "English" instead of "Japanese".
-
The Open URL script step incorrectly URL-encoded certain special characters.
-
When a script was paused, the Cancel button was displayed even when the Allow User Abort script step was set to Off, but the Cancel button did nothing when tapped.
-
When using the Select Window script step to switch windows after changing modes, the status toolbar for the previous mode appeared even though the window was in the expected mode.
Field behavior and display
-
Fields on a layout temporarily disappeared when a script was run by an OnObjectEnter trigger, causing the field to flicker or remain invisible until all object script triggers were processed.
-
In fields formatted as a concealed edit box, the cursor position was incorrect when entering text, appearing at the bottom regardless of the field's vertical alignment setting. Additionally, the concealed text circles appeared smaller than expected despite large font size settings.
-
In a number field formatted as a concealed edit box, the standard alphanumeric keyboard appeared instead of the specified numeric keyboard.
-
When a space was entered as the first character in a timestamp field, FileMaker Go quit unexpectedly instead of displaying input validation alerts.
Keyboard and input
-
When using a floating onscreen keyboard, FileMaker Go quit unexpectedly when you tapped a field that was set up to use the numeric keypad type of keyboard.
-
When searching for a file on a host by filename, you could enter only one character before the keyboard closed.
-
iOS 18: FileMaker Go quit unexpectedly when you tried to exit Dictation after using it in a text field.
General
-
When opening an FMP12 file using an fmp:// URL that included an account and password, FileMaker Go failed to authenticate with the included account or password if they contained Unicode characters such as those with diacritical marks.
-
When using a snapshot link in an email to open a database, FileMaker Go quit unexpectedly.
iOS App SDK
-
Apps created with the iOS App SDK quit unexpectedly when returning to the foreground after being put in the background for an extended period.
-
When uploading apps created with the iOS App SDK to the App Store, a "Non-public API usage" error occurred because of references to non-public symbols in the iOSAppSDK framework.
