Open a file at startup

You can choose a file to open automatically when you start FileMaker Go.

Select a file to open at startup

1. Tap My Apps , Favorites , Recent , or Hosts .

2. Touch and hold a file, then tap Open at Startup.

Stop opening a file at startup

1. Tap My Apps or Hosts .

2. Tap , then tap Settings .

3. Turn off Open File at Startup.

Set a startup file by file path

1. Tap My Apps or Hosts .

2. Tap , then tap Settings .

3. Turn on Open File at Startup.

4. For File Path, enter a path in FileMaker format:

   • file:fileName for a file on your device

     For example, file:Contacts.fmp12

   • fmnet:/hostNameOrIPaddress/fileName for a file on a host

     For example, fmnet:/myhost.example.com/Contacts.fmp12
