Managing remote backup (FileMaker Server)
Note The following information is for FileMaker Server team managers.
If you have FileMaker Server Remote Backup, you can set it up to back up the databases in the secure database folder and the default database folder to a remote drive. To set up remote backup, you need to use both FileMaker Server Admin Console and Claris Customer Console. See Setting up remote backup in FileMaker Server Help.
-
Use FileMaker Server Admin Console to assign, unassign, connect, or disconnect a remote backup drive. See Managing remote backup in Admin Console in FileMaker Server Help.
-
Use Claris Customer Console to upgrade your remote backup storage, to create, rename, delete, or change the size of a drive, or to approve, rename, unassign, or add notes to the assigned server.
The Remote Backup page in Claris Customer Console shows the total storage for your remote backup, the total allocated storage for all remote drives, the total storage space used, and the number of remote drives.
