Downloading databases

To download a database:

  1. Make sure the database has a FileMaker file account with the following settings:

    • The Full Access privilege set is selected.

    • The Full Access privilege set has the fmapp extended privilege enabled.

    • The account's password protection is enabled.

  2. Make sure you have the encryption password for the database. See About encryption passwords.

  3. In Admin Console, click Databases.

  4. If the database is open, click the down arrow to the right of the database, then click Close.

  5. After the database is closed, click the down arrow to the right of the database, then click Download.

  6. After you see a notification indicating the database is ready for download, click Download File in the notification.

    If you select multiple databases to download, you receive a separate notification for downloading each database.
