Entering data in records
In Browse mode, you add information in a database file by entering data in records. For example, you can:
type information into fields; see Entering and changing data in fields
enter preset data from a value list; see Entering preset data from a value list
copy and paste data; see Copying and moving data in records
insert information like the current date into a field; see Inserting the current date or other variables into a field
copy and paste images and videos, and insert files (such as word processing files or PDF files) into container fields; see Inserting content into container fields
use drag and drop to move data between fields, from one file to another, or from another application; see Moving text and data with drag and drop
import data; see Importing data into FileMaker Pro
use lookups or relationships to copy or display data from other database files; see Working with related tables and files
