Setting up authentication

For files hosted by FileMaker Cloud, users are authenticated by their Claris ID account or by an external IdP account. To set up external IdP authentication, see Using an external identity provider to authenticate Claris ID accounts.

Before you upload a file, use FileMaker Pro to create Claris ID or external IdP account access for groups or individual users. See Creating and editing account access.
