Protecting objects from changeYou can prevent objects from being changed, edited, moved, or deleted from a layout by locking them.

• Locking a field in Layout mode does not prevent changes to the information in Browse mode. For details on securing data, see Protecting databases.
• When you group objects that include a locked object, the grouped object is locked. For more information on grouping objects, see Grouping and ungrouping objects.
• Locking doesn't prevent changes to the stacking order. For more information, see Moving objects forward or backward on a layout.
• You can lock tab controls. Objects on tab controls won’t be locked unless you select them.
