Exporting the contents of a field You can export the contents of a field to a file. The content of most field types is saved to a text file. Content in container fields is saved with a file type that matches the content type. To export the contents of a field: 1. Click the field. 2. Choose Edit menu > Export Field Contents. Tip You can also right-click the field and choose Export Field Contents from the shortcut menu. 3. In the Export Field to File dialog box, choose a location and type a filename. FileMaker Pro saves the field’s content to a new file in the specified location. 4. For After saving, choose one or both of the following options if you wish: Choose To Automatically open file Open the file after it is saved Create email with file as attachment Create an email with the saved file attached 5.
