Working with tab controls on layouts

Use tab controls to simplify entering and viewing data. Tab controls are layout objects that allow you to group related objects on different tab panels in the same layout.

You can use a tab control instead of several layouts, or you can use a tab control to help organize one layout with a lot of fields. For example, customer information from several tables could be grouped into a tab control, with tab panels for categories such as personal contact information, business contact information, and purchasing information for different products.
