What's new in Claris Studio

September 03, 2025 ✨

Less clutter, more clarity

  • Streamlined the navigation bar into a single, clean line across all views to give you more workspace and less clutter.

  • The Properties pane toggle button has been retired—when you're in developer mode, the panel is always there when you need it, no toggling required.

  • Moved the Share button up to the top header for easier access.

  • Upgraded the old Preview button to "View As" with mobile, tablet, and desktop options right in the dropdown so you can test your views across device sizes without the extra clicks. However, there are a couple known limitations:

    • In macOS, when full screen, view size will not be respected when using View As.

    • In Safari, opening a new window to a specific size is not supported. Clicking View As and selecting a view size will open the view in a full-size window.

  • All your key controls now live in the top navigation bar, making the interface more consistent and your workflow smoother across every view.

The copy-paste playbook

  • New documentation explains the ins and outs of copying and pasting across different field types in tables and spreadsheets, covering compatibility and behavior.

Field control at your fingertips

  • New read-only field options give you precise control over user interactions in form, list-detail, and custom views. Choose from three options: Yes, No, or By calculation for dynamic conditional behavior.

  • You can find the new read-only setting in Properties pane > Options. This is a UI-level control that prevents user interaction with the field, perfect for guiding user workflows and protecting form integrity.

Nota  This controls field interaction in the interface rather than underlying data permissions.
