Remove admin and developer access from your custom app
If you want to distribute a custom app and you need to ensure users can't gain access to parts of the app and its schema that only developers, administrators, or owners of the app should have access to, you can use FileMaker Pro to remove those accounts:
-
Remove developer accounts that have privileges to modify schema—in particular, those that have the Manage database, data sources, containers, and custom functions privilege. See Creating and editing account access and Creating and editing privilege sets.
-
Remove admin access, which permanently removes all accounts that have the Full Access privilege set. See Removing admin access to databases.
Important Removing admin access can't be undone. The only way to perform tasks that require the Full Access privilege set is to return to the original file before admin access was removed using the Developer Utilities.
