About downloading FileMaker Pro and your license certificate
To install FileMaker Pro, you must first download the software and your license certificate (.fmcert) file. Depending on how you purchased Claris FileMaker software, download from one of these locations:
-
Your Electronic Software Download (ESD) page: If you purchased FileMaker software directly from Claris, you received an email with a link to your ESD page. From this page, you can download FileMaker Pro and your license certificate file.
The link to your ESD page is unique to your license. If you need help to access your ESD page, contact Customer Support.
-
Claris Customer Console: If you signed up for a FileMaker Cloud subscription or free trial, as a team manager, you can download FileMaker Pro and your license certificate file from Claris Customer Console. On the Subscription page, click the Downloads tab.
You must have a valid license certificate file to install FileMaker Pro. Otherwise, you can install the software only as a trial. Don't lose your license certificate file; keep it in a safe place in case you need to reinstall the software. If you need help with your license certificate file, contact Customer Support.
