FieldIDs
Purpose
Returns a list of all field IDs in fileName and layoutName.
Format
FieldIDs(fileName;layoutName)
Parameters
fileName - the name of an open
database file (local or remote).
layoutName - the name of a
layout or
table in the specified database file.
Data type returned
text

FileMaker Pro 6.0 or earlier
Description
Listed items are separated by carriage returns.
Related fields are returned as
TableID::RelatedFieldID.
For example,
12::4, where
12 is the ID of the
table and
4 is the ID of the related field.
If no parameter is specified for fileName, FileMaker returns results for the current file.
Examples
FieldIDs(“Customers”;””) returns IDs of all unique fields in the default table of Customers.
FieldIDs(“Customers”;”Layout#5”) returns IDs of all unique fields, including related fields, on Layout#5 in Customers.
