IsValidExpression Purpose Returns 1 (true) if an expression syntax is correct; otherwise, returns 0 (false). Format IsValidExpression(expression) Parameters expression - any calculation expression Data type returned number Originated in FileMaker Pro 7.0 Examples IsValidExpression(calculationField) returns 1 (true) if calculationField contains total + 1. IsValidExpression(calculationField) returns 0 (false) if calculationField contains abs(-1 with no closing parenthesis.
