Copying, duplicating, and deleting popoversYou copy, duplicate, or delete popovers by copying, duplicating, or deleting their associated popover buttons. You can’t copy, duplicate, or delete popovers independently of their popover buttons.
1. In Layout mode, select the popover.
• Choose Edit menu > Copy (or Cut). Click with the arrow pointer where you want the popover button centered, then choose Edit menu > Paste Layout Object(s) (Windows) or Edit menu > Paste (OS X).
•
•
• Any popover you cut or copy stays on the Clipboard until the next time you choose Cut or Copy (in FileMaker Pro or another application), or restart or turn off your computer.
• If you copy a popover button into another FileMaker Pro solution, the popover is identical in the other solution, except that FileMaker Pro doesn’t copy any styles applied to the popover button into the other solution.
• You can use the Duplicate command to create a series of identical popovers. After choosing Edit menu > Duplicate, drag the new popover button to a different location on the layout, then choose Edit menu > Duplicate again.
• If you select and copy locked objects, the copies are unlocked.
