About Claris ID and external IdP accounts

Claris ID is an integrated sign-on system that allows you to work with files hosted by FileMaker Cloud. If a team manager has set up account authentication with an external identity provider (IdP) for your team, you can sign in with that provider account instead of Claris ID.

Claris ID also allows a team manager to connect the team’s Claris Studio data source to a file.

To sign in with a Claris ID or external IdP account:

  1. In FileMaker Pro, choose File menu > Sign In to Claris ID.

    If you're already signed in, you'll see the My Apps command in the File menu instead.

  2. Enter your account information.

To sign out of a Claris ID or external IdP account:

  • In FileMaker Pro, choose File menu > Sign Out of Claris ID.

Notes 

  • The Sign In to Claris ID command is available to all users.

  • The My Apps window is only available after you sign in with your Claris ID.
